As a former investment analyst I have an in-depth understanding of how analysts and investors evaluate investment opportunities and what is important to them. Whether on a consultancy or interim basis, I ensure that the client’s interaction with investors and the wider financial markets is meaningful and effective,  supporting optimum valuation of their business.

Successful investor engagement requires:

  • Applying the key principles and disciplines for a effective engagement with analysts/investors within the constraints of regulatory disclosure requirements.
  • Knowing how to create a compelling investment/fundraising case and support it over time with effective messaging and presentation.
  • Effective investor targeting to build or restructure a share register aligned with the company’s strategy and capital needs.
  • Building trust and support among key existing or prospective investors through a regular and consistent dialogue.
  • Understanding the ‘feedback loops’ between analysts, media, investors and regulators and how to manage them.
  • Knowing the corporate and market regulatory environment.
  • Awareness of what can go wrong and why, and how to manage crisis scenarios, as well as how to do it right.
